Good News! COT Rates are coming down!
The rates for some mainframe and storage-related services were reduced significantly, effective February 1, 2007.
The new lower rates will reduce IT costs for state agencies by over $2 million during the last five months of the current fiscal year, and will provide even greater savings in future years. The lower rates were effective February 1, and will be reflected in COT billing beginning in March.
Thanks to the efforts of COT staff and management, COT customers can now begin enjoying lower rates for the following services:

The Commonwealth Office of Technology will continue its efforts with IT consolidation and service improvement plans to reduce costs and share the savings with our agency customers. Lower IT rates for state agencies means more funds are available for direct services to Kentucky citizens.
