COT has negotiated an enterprise purchase of the McAfee Total Protection for Endpoint Suite (ToPS) for the Commonwealth. An enterprise purchase provides the most cost effective solution for the Commonwealth, and it provides a product suite that contains additional components for stronger protection against malware, spyware, and hacker attacks. The McAfee ToPS Suite includes McAfee Anti-Virus for Desktops/Servers, McAfee Anti-Spyware for Desktops, and McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention (HIPS) for Desktops.
COT MANAGED SERVICE CUSTOMERS – PURCHASE INSTRUCTIONS
For agencies taking advantage of the COT managed services for Desktop Support, McAfee is included in your monthly rates. Description for the Desktop Support managed service can be found here:

OTHER STATE AGENCIES – PURCHASE INSTRUCTIONS
For all other state agencies, the McAfee license costs will be inter-accounted from COT. The cost per node for the McAfee ToPS Suite will be $7.73 for the first year, which includes the perpetual upgrade license and one year of software maintenance. The second year cost will be $7.85 per node. In order to purchase licenses, send an email to COT.ASSETPROVISIONING@ky.gov and include the number of nodes to be purchased and a contact name (this person will be named in the inter-account letter that your agency will receive).
OTHER KIH CUSTOMERS – PURCHASE INSTRUCTIONS
All COT customers on the Kentucky Information Highway can purchase McAfee Security products through COT’s contract with Dell at significant savings. COT requires that orders from Dell include both anti-virus and anti-spyware products. COT also recommends the use of a host intrusion prevention product. Note that the McAfee ToPS Suite includes McAfee Anti-Virus for Desktops/Servers, McAfee Anti-Spyware for Desktops, and McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention (HIPS) for Desktops.
